Job Title: Auditor – Royalty and Participation Compliance Audits
Job Description:
As a team member of Hurewitz And Company, you will be auditing companies on behalf of clients to uncover unpaid fees to which our clients are entitled pursuant to licenses and agreements they have entered into with third parties.
We serve clients in various industries ranging from entertainment, technology, consumer products, intellectual property, and more. You will receive training, gain professional experience and realize growth opportunities while working in close communication with upper-level management. This opportunity allows you to log 500+ hours of auditing experience to obtain the authority to sign attest reports and successfully train towards acquiring a California CPA license.
As an integral part of the company, your success is interwoven with the success of the company. In your role as Auditor, your technical responsibilities will be:

Analyze financial summaries and highly detailed data using MS Excel, Access, Word and other programs as needed to identify incorrect amounts reported/paid to our clients (should be familiar with downloading and using different types of software)

Create, edit and format schedules and reports using MS Excel and MS Word to calculate and describe amounts that are owed to our clients

Communicate effectively with the company being audited via email, telephone or in-person to convey or obtain relevant information

Participate in client communication under the supervision of management

Periodically travel for fieldwork (1-6 times per year)

Accurately maintain time logs

Adhere to firm standards and administrative policies
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related field

Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook; Access and other databases a plus

Internet research skills
-
Strong verbal and writing skills
-
Relevant royalty and/or participation experience a plus

Detail-oriented
-
Ability to both work collaboratively and independently
Remuneration:
Commensurate with experience. Partially sponsored health, dental, vision, paid time off and other benefits available.
