Meet the President
MATTHEW A. HUREWITZ, CPA

Over the course of his career, Matthew Hurewitz has garnered more than 25 years of experience performing Royalty Audits, Profit Participation Audits and Expert Witness litigation services. The audit and litigation forensic work in which he has been involved has uncovered more than $50 million in claims. Matthew’s specialties include litigation support. His teams have audited in music, film/tv, technology and other industries throughout the US and around the world, including Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, France, Germany, Italy, UK, Australia, Canada and Mexico.

Since 2013, Matthew has been the President of Hurewitz And Company, and prior to that, he was managing partner of Hurewitz, Boschan & Co. LLP and a partner at Wolinsky, Becker & Hurewitz, LLP (originally Wolinsky & Co.). He also worked at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, a division of Coopers and Lybrand, and at Ernst & Young.

Matthew received his B.S. in Accounting at USC in 1989 and his CPA license in 1992. Matthew was on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP). Matt has spoken at UCLA, AIMP, Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA), USC/ BHBA Entertainment Law Panel, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and other professional organizations. He was also a speaker on a nationally syndicated radio program. Currently, he is a member of the AIMP, AICPA, California Society of CPAs, BHBA and NARAS.
